Bacon & Broadbean Salsa

Hey there, fellow food enthusiasts! Today, I'm thrilled to share with you a simple yet delicious recipe for a super tasty bacon and broadbean salsa. This delightful dish combines the savory goodness of bacon with the fresh vibrancy of broadbeans, creating a salsa that is sure to impress your taste buds and wow your guests. To get started, here's what you'll need:


  • 200g bacon

  • 250g Frozen broadbeans - defrosted (can substitute with peas)

  • 1 Medium purple onion

  • 3 Cloves of garlic

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Cooking Instructions


1. Prepare the Ingredients:

- Shell the broadbeans and set aside.

   - peel and slice the onion and garlic

   - remove and discard the skin of the bacon, then dice into 1cm pieces


2. Cook the Bacon:

   - In a wok or large frypan, heat the olive oil over high heat.

   - Add the diced bacon and cook until golden, about 4-5 minutes.


3. Sauté the Vegetables:

   - In the same pan, add the Broadbeans and heat for 1 minute.

   -  Add the purple onion and sauté until it becomes translucent, again about 1minute.

   - Add the garlic and seasoning, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.


4. Serve:

   - Serve while still warm.
