Link to the reviewed recipe www.afoodloverskitchen.com

There's something about the magic of the air fryer – it takes the humble rib and elevates it to new heights. Imagine tender, succulent ribs with a crispy, caramelised crust, all achieved in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional methods. It's a symphony of sizzling, a ballet of basting, and a chorus of spices that will transport you to BBQ bliss.

So, are you ready to take your taste buds on a journey of smoky, finger-licking delight? Grab your apron and fire up that air fryer, because we're about to embark on a culinary adventure that will leave you smacking your lips and craving seconds.

My Version:

Air Fryer BBQ Pork Ribs for 4 People

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

- 2 racks of baby back ribs

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

- 1 tablespoon garlic powder

- 1 tablespoon onion powder

- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your spice preference)

- Salt and black pepper to taste

- 1 cup of your favourite BBQ sauce

Instructions:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, if not already done.

3. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.

5. Place the ribs in the air fryer basket, bone side down, and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.

6. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes until they develop a nice glaze.

7. Remove the ribs from the air fryer, let them rest for a few minutes, and then slice between the bones.

8. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping and enjoy your finger-licking good ribs!

Suggested Side Dishes:

- Coleslaw

- Cornbread

- Baked beans

- Grilled corn on the cob

Equipment Needed:

- Air fryer

- Small mixing bowl

- Tongs

- Basting brush

Common Mistakes and Points of Care:

- Ensure you remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for a more tender result.

- Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.

- Keep an eye on the ribs to prevent overcooking; cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model.

- Adjust the cayenne pepper to your spice preference; taste the rub before applying it to the ribs.

- Let the ribs rest before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute for maximum flavour.
